 1. Applications are invited from IT qualified Indian citizen (both male / female) in the various designated trades for enrolment into apprenticeship training at Naval Ship Repair Yard, Karwar and Naval Aircraft Yard (Goa), Dabolim, Goa under Apprentices Act, 1961 read in conjunction with Apprenticeship Rules, 1992. A total of 180 vacancies for Naval Ship Repair Yard, Karwar and 30 vacancies for Naval Aircraft Yard (Goa), Dabolim, Goa as per distribution shown below are to be filled up:-

(a) Vacancies at Naval Ship Repair Yard, Karwar. Training for the candidates opting for these vacancies will be undertaken at Naval Ship Repair Yard, Karwar.

(b) Age. Candidates should have completed 14 years and below 21 years of age as on

15 Apr 2024 i.e. bom between 15 Apr 2003 and 14 Apr 2010 (both dates inclusive). The upper age limit of 21 years is relaxable by five (05) years in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) / Scheduled Tribes (ST). The upper age limit may be further relaxed by two (02) years by Naval Headquarters at their discretion in respect of candidates who merit special consideration.

(c) Physical Standards. Height 150 Cms, Weight not less than 45 Kgs, Chest expansion not less than 5 cm, Eye sight 6/6 to 6/9 (6/9 corrected with glasses), external and internal organs to be normal. Physical fitness standards are as per MoD letter

FM1103/ SRY/1019/US/MPD(N-II) dated 21 Jun 2007.

(d) Previous Training. Apprenticeship is a onetime opportunity to the candidates.

Candidates who have already undergone or undergoing apprenticeship training under

Apprentices Act, 1961 in any other Govt. / Public Sector / Private Industrial organization are not eligible to apply.

5. How to Apply. Interested eligible candidates are required to register online on www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in. The under mentioned procedure is to be followed for registration at apprenticeship web portal under National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS):-

1. Before starting the process of registration, candidate must ensure that name, date of birth and father name in Aadhar Card must be matching with SSC certificate. Otherwise, change the details in Aadhar Card according to the SSC certificate.
2. Log on to www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in.web portal. Then home page of the website would open.
3. Click on Candidate Login/ Register module in the home page. A page titled Candidate Registration would open. The candidate is required to fill up his personal details, contact details in the form and then submit the application by clicking the submit option.
4. Post submission of application a system generated auto mail would be sent to the e-mail ID for profile activation. Candidates have to activate their profile.
5. Go back to Home page of www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in. Click on Candidate Login Register module in the home page. To open profile, candidates have to enter his/ her registered E-mail ID, then click submit. OTP would be sent to the registered mobile number for authentication.
6. Post login, candidates have to enter or edit their personal details, add educational qualifications, trade preference and validate Aadhar Number.
7. On completion of online registration, open candidate profile, download and take print out from the web portal and forward the "Candidate Profile" along with the under mentioned documents by speed / registered post to "The Officer-in-Charge, Dockyard Apprentice School, Naval Ship Repair Yard, Naval Base, Karwar, Karnataka - 581 308" within 30 days from the date of publication of this advertisement in Employment News:-

(i) Self-attested copy of Matriculation/10th Class Mark sheet.

(ii) Self-attested copy of ITI Semester-Wise Mark sheet and All Semester Mark sheet (iii) Self-attested copy of Category certificate (for OBC/ SC/ ST candidates only). (iv) Self-attested copy of Disability certificate (for PwDs candidates only).

(v) Self-attested copy of Aadhar Card

(vi) Certificate from competent authority, if son/daughter of armed forces personnel/naval defence civilian employee for upper age relaxation upto two years.

(vii) Certificate of undertaking stating the choice of establishment for undergoing apprenticeship training i.e. Naval Ship Repair Yard, Karwar or Naval Aircraft Yard (Goa), Dabolim, Goa need to be clearly specified. Proforma of the certificate is as follows:-
