WHICH CERTIFICATE (NCVT OR SCVT )?
NCVT BETTER THEN SCVT

WHAT YOU WILL LERN ? 1ST  Semester

Recognise and comply with safe working practices, environment regulation and house keeping

Plane & organize the work to make job as per specification applying different types of basic fitting operations such as marking hack sawing, filling, drilling and check for the dimensional Accuracy

Set different shaped jobs on different check [ independent and self chuck ] and demonstrate conventional lathe machine operation. Observing standard operation practice , on different shaped components

Prepare different cutting tool to produce jobs to appropriate accuracy by performing different turning operation like turning. Facing .boring .chamfering .reaming . And knurling etc……..

Test the alignment of lathe by checking different parameters  and just the tool post for truing purpose, alignment of centres

WHAT YOU WILL LERN ?  2ND Semester

Recognise, understand typical turning operations like form turning, taper turning, boring etc….,

Draw and organise work to make Morse taper plug, taper sleeves, executing complex job involving face plate etc…,

Execute turning of crack shaft, turning of long shaft using lathe attachment such as revolving steady etc..,

Perform eccentric boring, stepped boring within 50 micron accuracy level and use of inside micrometre, telescopic gauges etc for bore measurement.

Execute metric and British standard thread cutting, multi start thread cutting, making use of change wheel calculation, and checking of threads

Understand the use and applications of all types of lathe attachments.

WHAT YOU WILL LERN ?  3rd Semester

Perform eccentric boring, stepped boring with in 50 micron accuracy level and use of inside micrometre, telescopic gauges etc for measurement.

Execute metric and British standard thread cutting multi start thread cutting, making use of change wheel calculation, and checking of threads.

Understand the use and application of all types of lathe attachments.

WHAT YOU WILL LERN ?  4th Semester

Set ( both job and tool ) CNC turning centre and  produce components as per drawing by preparing part programme.

Manufacture and assemble components to produce utility items by performing different operations and observing principal of interchangeability and check functionality item (screw jack, vice spindle, box nut, marking block, drill chuck, collet chuck etc, by different operation).

Threading (square thread ) BSW, ACME, Metric, thread on taper, different boring operations.

Make a process plan to produce components by performing special operations on lathe and check for accuracy .

Perform special operation in CNC lathe worm shaft cutting, boring , threading etc…
