EDUCATION QUALIFICATION: 
SSC with minimum 50% marks in Science Subject(s) and Mathematics individually and 2 years ITI certificate course in Fitter/Electrician/Electronics/Instrumentation/Welder/ Machinist/AC Mechanic/Turner trades. 
 For trades for which the duration of the ITI course is less than 2 years, the candidates should have at least one year relevant working experience after completion of the course. 
 Shall have English as one of the subjects at least at SSC level examination.
( Pass in SSC with Science and Mathematics and 2 years ITI with English as one of the subjects at SSC. Wherever for trades for which the ITI course is less than 2 years, 1 year experience in the relevant area after completion of the course shall be insisted. )

PAY DETAILS : 
During 1st year of training, stipend of ₹10500/- Per Month. 
During 2nd year of training, stipend of ₹12500/- Per Month. 
After suceessful completion of training, the trainees are likely to be considered for appointment to the post of Technician/B in the pay of ₹21700/- in level 3 of Revised Pay Structure (Pay Matrix) under CCS (RP) Rules, 2016 and Allowances as admissible from time to time. Additional increment(s), as per extant rules, depending upon performance during training program may also be granted to deserving candidates. 

SELECTION PROCESS: 
Written Examination (Preliminary Test + Advanced Test) + Skill Test The written examination will be OMR based or Computer Based Test (CBT)

WRITTEN EXAMINATION: 
be conducted tentatively in February, 2023. Exact date, time and venue of the written examination will be available in the “Admit Card”. Admit card of the screened-in candidates for appearing in the written examination will be made available on the website for downloading. Email/SMS will also be sent to screened-in candidates.
Candidates qualifying in the written examination shall be shortlisted in the order of merit in the ratio of 1 post : 5 candidates (where the qualifying no. of candidates are more than 5) for appearing in the Personal Interview/Skill Test/Document Verification which will be conducted in Surat tentatively in May, 2023. Exact date, time and venue of the Personal Interview/Skill Test/Document Verification will be available in the “Personal Interview/Skill Test/Document Verification Call letter”. Call letter for appearing for Personal Interview/Skill Test/Document Verification will be made available on the website for downloading to the shortlisted candidates. Email/SMS will also be sent to shortlisted candidates.
Verification, the candidates will be required to undergo physical standards check-up (wherever applicable) and verification of all the original certificates.
The Preliminary and Advanced Test for candidates screened-in for Stage-2 will be conducted on the same day

Stage-1 Preliminary Test:
It will be a screening examination to shortlist candidates. The examination will comprise 50 Multiple Choice Questions (Choice of four answers) of 01 (one) hour duration in the following proportion: 
(a)Mathematics - 20 Questions 
(b)  Science - 20 Questions 
(c)  General Awareness - 10  Questions 03 (three) marks to be awarded for each correct answer and 01 (one) mark to be deducted for each incorrect answer.The qualifying standards shall be as follows:  General Category (UR)/EWS - 40% marks ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD - 30% marks The candidates 
securing lesser marks than the qualifying standard as above will be screened out for Stage-2.

Stage-2 Advanced Test:
 All the candidates screened in Stage-1 to undertake an advanced test. The syllabus for question paper for Stage 2 test will be based on the qualification. The test will be of 02 (two) hours duration.
The level of questions for Plant Operator Trainees (Category-II) will be based on the syllabus in HSC or ISC and that for other Category-II (Maintainer) Trainees, the same will be in their respective ITI trade.
 The test will comprise 50 Multiple choice questions (choice of four answers) with 03 (three) marks to be awarded for each correct answer and 01 (one) mark to be deducted for each incorrect answer.
The qualifying standards shall be as follows:
General Category (UR)/EWS - 30% marks
ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD - 20% marks
 A merit list will be prepared for candidates after Stage-2 based upon scores obtained in Stage-2 only.
In the event of a tie, following criteria shall be adopted in sequence for deciding position in merit list:
 Candidates with lower negative marks in stage-2 to be placed higher on the merit list.
Candidates with higher marks in Stage-1 to be placed higher on the merit list
Candidates with lower negative marks in stage-1 to be placed higher on the merit list.
Candidates with higher positive marks in mathematics in Stage-1 is placed higher.
 Candidates with higher positive marks in Science in Stage-1 is placed higher.

Stage-3 Skill Test (not applicable for ST/TN - Plant Operator)
The candidates will be shortlisted in each trade for skill test in the ratio of 1 post : 5 candidates (wherever the number of candidates is more than 5) in the order of merit prepared after Stage-2.
 The Skill Test will be of qualifying nature only on GO/NO GO basis.
